Bayou-to-You is a farmer-led tasting and shucking experience featuring oysters harvested and served directly by us.
Guests learn how oysters are grown, how water and salinity shape flavor, and how to shuck with confidence. The experience also shares the deeper story behind the oyster: the long relationship between Houma people, the bayous, and the foods that sustained our communities.
Historical accounts describe Houma life as closely tied to fishing, oysters, corn, wild game, gathered plants, and seasonal foods from both land and water. Oysters were part of everyday survival, trade, and hospitality.
